Burns Competition

the judges

We were delighted to welcome, Kate Cameron (left) and Garry Graham  (pictured right) along to Cairns Church to judge our annual Burns Competition. Pupils have practised long and hard and it is no easy task to decide who is the winner in each class .This year the competition was tougher than ever.

After everyone has recited their poem an overall winner is chosen to receive the Burns cup. This year an excellent delivery of , 'Scots Wha Hae ' secured the trophy for one delighted Primary 7 boy.

His rendition of this favourite was outstanding, so much so that the judges could not help but give him the prize.

Craig Munro

This year we were also entertained  by Craig Munro, pictured left, piped us in and gave us a short talk on the benefits of learning how to play the bagpipes. Mr Munro is currently a member of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers

Before and during the competition our talented choir and musicians entertain us with their Scottish melodies.

Congratulations, once again to all our winners.
