Afterschool Activities. As yet we have not been able to find a volunteer to lead a football team—but we will keep searching. There is hockey being offered as an after school club for P5 pupils starting in November and run by Western Wildcats. The after school tennis CLUB has started. This is being led by a coach from Milngavie Tennis club for P3 and is very successful and popular. As always, if you have links to any organisation that may wish to work with the school please do get in touch, as we want to continue to improve the sporting opportunities afforded to our pupils.

HELP, Please..... The Primary 1 teachers will be issuing a request for specific 'loose parts' for Play2Learn activities. If you can help with any of these requests for some rather obscure items we will be very grateful indeed.

Polite Reminders: No Nuts in School please :)

PE — No earrings to be worn and Soft Gym shoes please Please try and encourage your children to have their ears pierced during the summer holidays otherwise they have to be excluded from PE until their earrings can be safely removed. PLEASE can any boy or girl with longer hair ensure that their hair is tied back safely during PE lessons. PLEASE put names on children’s clothes and remind your children that they need to be responsible for looking after their clothing.

If you are collecting your child during the school day it continues to be very important that we have a letter beforehand stating the date and time of collection, and who will be collecting your child/ren. If it is not a parent who is collecting the child/ren we may call you to ensure their removal has been authorised by you. If we cannot contact you in person we may make the decision NOT to release the child, for reasons of safety and security. It is therefore very important that we always have up to date contact details for parents/carers and emergency contacts. When children are collected you will be required to sign your child out of school and, when appropriate, your child/ren will be provided with an out of school pass. If your family circumstances change and there are people you would/would not like to be an emergency contact please let us know so that we can ensure security remains our top priority. Thank you.
