This year we are trying out our e-portfolios. This will take the form of an ongoing classroom blog letting parents know what we are enjoying most about our learning this year. As we are experimenting with the design , the layout of each page may change from time to time. Please let us know what you think by commenting below.
ArdmayArdmay P7 Room 13 Residential Visit to Ardmay House Activity Centre
Primary 7 enjoyed a wonderful week of outdoor activities and learning during their residential visit to Ardmay House Activity Centre on Loch Long. This year the pupils enjoyed working towards achieving the John Muir Discovery Award. There are four challenges at the heart of this award: Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share.
Ardmay Primary 7 met these challenges through participation in a variety of demanding group activities including abseiling, weaseling, canoeing, hill walking and learning about John Muir and his life. They increased their awareness and understanding of the environment and took practical action during every activity to appreciate conservation. Finally they were able to share what they had learned with each other by making group presentations before returning home.
What are we most pleased with?

“I am pleased I got the chance to go canoeing. I worked well as part of a team. There were people I hadn’t worked with before.”   Lewis
“I am most pleased with my rock-climbing skills because I managed to climb far. I am now more confident and I developed my team-building skills.” Luke
“I am pleased with my increased confidence in abseiling because I was a bit nervous at the start.” Nicola
