We worked co-operatively in our groups by sharing the mats and giving feedback.

We used ‘2 stars and a wish’ when we watched each other.  We identified two good things about the skill and one part which needed improvement.

This information helped us to focus our practice on the weakest areas.  After further practice our skills were of a much better quality.

At the end of the Gymnastics block we reflected on our performances using our Learning Logs.

We evaluated our skills improvement, what we had learned, what had surprised us and what we would like to investigate further.

Partners were really useful at providing physical support and giving valuable feedback about a performance.

Supporters gave us confidence to try some tricky skills.  By supporting a gymnast in the correct position, the learners were able to get a sense of what the successful skill should feel like.
