Izak 9 is a mathematical cube which encourages us to think logically to solve problems.

First of all we divided in to three problem solving groups.

How fast did your group organise the cube?

We had to plan, discuss and review our thoughts. Izak challenged us to make connections between numbers.

It is important to record our results as it helps us look closely at the problem.

We can then think of a statement: what sequences can we identify? Can we predict what the next numbers will be?

We are making mathematical connections. We are learning about sequencing , however, we also learned about digital roots and negative numbers..

Although we can be found on the balcony playing games and actively solving problems, we occasionally use textbooks to  reinforce the concepts we are learning.
