Walk to school

What a wonderful week to walk to school. Once again we are taking part in the National Walk to School Campaign which seeks to encourage children to walk or cycle to school.

Mrs Macfarlane kindly organised a walkway for all those pupils, teachers and parents who are not able to walk to school. We came in earlier than usual and walked round the playground for at least twenty minutes. It was fun chatting and laughing as we walked. One Primary 5 boy managed an amazing 62 laps, that's approximately 3 km.

A special thank you to our marshals, dressed in fluorescent yellow waistcoats, who helped organise the course.

Now it is up to us to keep up all the good work. Walking is cheap, great for the environment and fun!
