Children throughout the school are very enthusiastic about music! Each class has one half-hour lesson with a Music specialist each week, during which they cover the four main elements of the Curriculum for Excellence - singing, using instruments, creating, listening and performing. All children have regular opportunities to perform, whether at an assembly, end-of-term services, Burns competition or at other special events. P3 children all learn the recorder and perform at end of term Infant services. There is also a recorder club for P4s. There is an enthusiastic School Choir of P5 to P7 pupils. 

Physical Education at Milngavie Primary 

As part of our Health and Wellbeing programme, all pupils participate in a full range of PE activities from ball skills and games to gymnastics, dance, fitness and athletics.  There are many opportunities to participate in extra-curricular events such as football tournaments, netball matches, cross country races and after-school clubs supported by our enthusiastic school staff and the local Active Schools team.
